Hurley Sisters Commit To Pursuing Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Members of the first U.S. Women's Fencing Team ever to win an Olympic medal continue lifelong commitment to fencing together.

HOUSTON, TX - Kelley and Courtney Hurley, bronze medalists from the U.S. Olympic Women's Fencing Team, have announced their commitment to pursue their third trip to the Olympic Games together as sisters.

Kelley, who had previously considered retirement, decided that fencing is her number one priority and has already returned to training. "After Rio I was disappointed in my performance and I thought about pursuing some other interests, but when I looked at what Courtney and I have already done I realized that in a lot of ways this is only the beginning for us," said the 29-year-old Kelley Hurley.

Coached by their father Bob Hurley, Kelley and her 26-year-old sister Courtney have competed on World Teams together for over a decade. The two sisters made history together at the London 2012 Olympic games as members of the first U.S. Women's Èpèe Team to ever win an Olympic medal. "We've accomplished a lot so far," said Courtney, "but we're determined to establish the USA as the dominant force in fencing globally, including in Tokyo."

The Hurley Sisters have continued to compete on the global stage having most recently placed in competitions in Hungary, Italy and Spain. Both are currently ranked in the top three in the country for women's Èpèe and will be competing in the U.S. National Championships in Baltimore on April 21.

Originally from San Antonio, the Hurley Sisters have temporarily relocated to Houston to be closer to their training facility. Visit the Hurley sisters at www.hurleysisters.com and follow their journey on Instagram and Twitter.
