HARRISON, NJ - On a cold Saturday evening, USA and England battled in their second games of the SheBelieves Cup at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey. Ellen White scored an 89th minute goal late on a rebound off of an initial corner to give England the 1-0 win.

USA looked a lot better than they did in their game against Germany, and saw a couple of bright spots in some of the new players on the field. The team attacked offensively and minus the late goal played solid defense.

Rose Lavelle made her national team debut and was the most impressive player on either team. The 21 year old had a spectacular header chance in the 19th minutes but was turned away by Siobhan Chamberlain of England.

Ashlyn Harris got the start in net for USA and made some amazing saves in the frigid conditions to keep England off the scoreboard early in the match. Although the US dominated play they could not find the back of the net.

England had lost to France in their opening match in the SheBelieves Cup and will play Germany to finish out the tournament. The win was the first shutout by England in 29 years. A team that has been on the rise in recent years can notch a big win against the world #1 and #2 teams depending on their final result.

The US national team will play France on Tuesday in their third and final match of the SheBelieves Cup. The teams sits in second place behind France in the table.
