The Canadien Women's Hockey League (CWHL) wrapped up its regular season this past weekend and what a season it has been. The defending Clarkson Cup champion, Calgary Inferno look poised to defend their title but which team can pull off the feat? This year has been pretty exciting in the CWHL and the push for the Clarkson Cup title is only going to magnify that excitement.
The final regular season standings are listed below:
Calgary Inferno — (20-3-0, 40 pts)
Les Canadiennes de Montreal — (17-5-2, 36 pts)
Brampton Thunder – (13-10-1-0-1, 26 pts)
Toronto Furies – (9-11-3-0-1, 22 pts)
Boston Blades – (2-20-2, 6 pts)
The Boston Blades will not be participating in this years Clarkson Cup Playoffs for a second consecutive year but the Blades are an improving organization. The team picked up some big wins this season and played in some much closer games than last years squad. Boston could make some big moves this offseason so watch out for the Blades as they get a head start on preparing for next year.
