Carli Lloyd Heading Overseas to Manchester City
Two-time FIFA Player of the Year Carli Lloyd is set to play with Manchester City in the FA Women's Super League. The U.S national team member has scored 96 goals in 232 international appearances.
Lloyd is the fourth U.S. national team player to sign a deal to play in overseas this winter. She now joins Alex Morgan who signed with France's Lyon in, Crystal Dunn who joined Chelsea and Heather O'Reilly who made the move to Arsenal last month.
Lloyd will begin the year in England before returning to the National Women's Soccer League's Houston Dash once the Manchester City season ends. If the team reaches the Champions League final it could be as late as June 1.
