Incheon, South Korea - Alison Lee came into Friday's second round holding a three stroke lead over five competitors tied for second place. Throughout the first nine holes, Lee shot three under par and increased her lead over the field. While other competitors like, Anna Nordqvist and Lizette Salas struggled on day two, Lee seemed in full control going into the back nine.

Brittany Lang emerged as the biggest threat to Lee, after shooting a five under, 69 in round one, Lang hit four birdies in the first 11 holes and pulled behind Lee for second place. On the 15th, Lang used a driver to get within a foot of the hole for a tap in eagle on a par four. The eagle gave Lang the lead as she pared her way to the 18th. Lee also sank a eagle on the 15th to take back the lead as she was two holes behind Lang on the course.

On the 18th, a par five, Lang rattled the flagstick on her third shot and almost sunk another eagle, she settled for a birdie and a share of the lead heading into the weekend. Lee struggled on the back nine, minus the eagle on 15, on the 10th and 12th the 21 year old bogeyed to allow the field to keep pace. On the 18th with a chance to hold the lead or a share of the lead, Lee bogeyed the par five and finished the round at 9 under par, one off the lead.

Cristie Kerr shot a seven under, 65 to finish day two tied with Sung Hyuan Park for third place. Lydia Ko pulled even after the round, tied for 33rd, and Ariya Jutanugarn has struggled shooting a 73 in both rounds currently tied for 47th.
