Incheon, South Korea - In the opening round of the KEB Hana Bank Championship American, Alison Lee shot a season low, seven under par, 65 to hold a three stroke lead at the end of day one in South Korea. Lee, in her second year on the tour and currently ranked 44th, made only one bogey in the round while sinking eight birdies.

"I would definitely say it's a different approach" Lee said, "I made a lot of good birdie putts. I think I only missed one or two putts inside 15 feet."

Lee's preparation comes after a shoulder injury impacted her ability to play, missing five cuts in a row during the season. The UCLA product separated herself from the field with her lowest round of the season and looks to be playing to her full potential.

Lee is holding off some tough competitors, including Anna Nordqvist, Karine Icher, and Lizette Salas who are in a five way tie for second place shooting a four under on the course in round one.

Lydia Ko, defending CME Globe winner, currently trails Ariya Jutanugarn in the chase. Her performance Thursday, three over, was tied for the highest score that she has shot this season and has her tied for 63rd in the field going into round two.
