Boston Renegades Run Over the Philly Phantomz

The last time the Boston Renegades stepped on the field, they lost a heartbreaking game to the DC Divas with 17 seconds left. With a BYE week the following week, the Renegades had plenty of time to think about how to improve. It was clear that the game plan against the Philadelphia Phantomz focused more on the run than the passing attack that they featured against the Divas.
Asia Asante ran wild for the Renegades, hitting the open holes that the offensive line opened up. Asante ran for 3 touchdowns before being pulled in the 4th quarter. Emily Beinecke who was the go to receiver in the game against DC played a great game and caught a spectacular jump ball in the end zone for her only score of the night.

Philadelphia struggled most of the night to move the ball, the Boston defense was just too strong. However they did get two short run touchdowns from Taesha Smith. Boston’s defense also pitched in with two interceptions on the night, one from Mocha Torres and one from Bri Gallo. Boston hosts the Cleveland Fusion next weekend and the Phantomz will host the Richmond Black Widows.
