IWFL Top 10 Power Rankings Week 4

The Independent Women’s Football League is heading into week five and so far we have seen some amazing games throughout the year! In week four of the season we highlighted the MyWSports Game of the Week between the Washington Prodigy and the New York Sharks. The one did not disappoint, the teams went into overtime tied at 7. The Sharks would convert a field goal on their opening drive to take a 10-7 lead and the defense would do the rest from there. On fourth down the Prodigy opted to go for the conversion instead of the field goal, the Sharks blitzed the play and sacked Washington’s Quarterback to win the game. This was definitely a classic and propelled the Sharks up in this weeks ranking.

The Carson Bobcats in their inaugural season are 3-0 and have outscored opponents 116 to 68 in their first three games. The Carolina Phoenix also off to a hot start are sitting at 3-0 and have only allowed 18 points all season to opponents. The team’s defense has been phenomenal but the play of Quarterback Ebony Montgomery has some people believing, Carolina has another shot at a World Championship. Seven teams remain undefeated lets see where the fall in the rankings?

The MyWSports Player of the Week goes to the New York Sharks Defense who secured a road victory for the team in Washington, to improve to 3-0 on the season. The defense has only let up 7 points in the last two games and continues to improve weekly. This week they will play a struggling Carolina Queens team at home in NY.

The MyWSports Game of the Week is the #7 Minnesota Vixen traveling to the #6 Madison Blaze. Both teams have played well in the first two games of the season, but will have to rely on their defenses in this contest.
