San Francisco, CA. – For her second LPGA Tour win of the season, Haru Nomura had to battle strong winds and some cold temperatures to hold off the field on Sunday in the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic.
Nomura benefited from a strong start shooting a 65 on Thursday and followed up with a 70 on Friday. The 23 year old finished four strokes better than Lee-Anne Pace who finished at -5. Nomura won her first major of the year back in February defeating Lydia Ko in the Australian Women’s Open.
"When I came into this year, I had two goals. That's to win an LPGA tournament and also win an LPGA major tournament," Nomura said. "Now I've won two tournaments LPGA this year, so I think my goal now is to win a major."
With the recent success, it will be no shock if you see Haru Nomura accomplish her new goal.
