Just when you think you’ve got the landscape of the Women’s Football Alliance figured out, we are treated to what football does best, upsets! Just as the Seattle Majestics and Mile High Blaze were starting the season hot with 3 shut out wins combined, both were knocked off in week 3. Seattle was clobbered by a solid Portland Fighting Shockwave team 40-0 and the Kansas City Titans weathered the snow falling and quieted the Mile High offense winning 22-6.

The DC Divas bounced back after their loss in week 2 to the Dallas Elite and snuck by the Boston Renegades with a touchdown with just 17 seconds left to lift the Divas to a thrilling 35-32 win. After a tough 17-14 loss to start the year, the Atlanta Phoenix are rolling with 74-0 win in week 2 and a 41-0 win over Fayetteville in week 3. The #1 ranked Alabama Fire stayed hot, even though they gave up their first score of the year, with a 38-8 win over Derby City.

The MyWSports Player of the Week goes to Kentrina Wilson with 2 touchdowns for the DC Divas, including the game winner in the back of the end zone with 17 seconds left. Wilson also caught a 20 yard touchdown pass from Allyson Hamlin in the second quarter.

The MyWSports Game of the Week to Watch is the Top 10 matchup between #1 Alabama Fire and #10 Atlanta Phoenix. The Phoenix have been on a roll and the Alabama offense has been dynamite early in the season, this could be a great shoot out in Atlanta! Atlanta has the home field advantage, but Alabama has already dominated teams on the road this year. Which defense will slow the other team down? Will it come down to who has the ball last?
