Women's Football Alliance Power Rankings (Week 2)
Alabama Fire Lead This Weeks Power Rankings (AlabamaFire/Twitter)
The first two weeks of the Women’s Football Alliance season have been offensive showcases with very high scores. The top teams have scored a ton, but have also played great defense. 4 teams have scored over 100 points in the first 2 games and 3 teams haven’t allowed any points in 2 games. The best of the best so far like the Alabama Fire and the Sin City Trojans have combined both offensive and defensive dominance.
The Dallas Elite win over the defending champion DC Divas 40-19 was a huge early season win. Alabama’s 98-0 win over Tri Cities Thunder shows that their offense is a dominant force and they should roll to another big victory in week 3 when they face the Derby City Dynamite who have lost 74-0 and 71-0 in the first two games of the season.
The MyWSports Player of the Week: goes to Tara Catone who ran for 190 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Pittsburgh Passion beat the Columbus Comets 48-3.
The MyWSports Game of the Week to Watch: is the DC Divas heading north to play the Boston Renegades. Can the Divas bounce back after their opening loss to Dallas? Can Boston stay on a roll and drop the defending champions to 0-2?
