First and Foremost, Thank you for visiting and being a part of the growth of women's athletics. I am truly grateful that the site is up and running and to receive the early support and feedback I have already gotten. I know there are still plenty more things I can add and once I get a staff and more bodies I think this will be one really cool site.

A little about me in case you were wondering why I am so passionate about women’s sports. I am a 2012 graduate of Boston College, I also graduated from a really great High School that changed my life, MATCH class of 2008. When I arrived at BC I thought I had it all planned out, go to Business school, major in accounting, get my CPA, and make a lot of money working for PWC or Delliote. Unfortunately those plans were quickly foiled when I ran into the student radio station on Student Activities Day. I asked about being a DJ but the music was not the kind I had in mind. So I asked about a sports department. They sent me to a different table and I signed up for a meeting. I had no idea this meeting would change my life, they spoke about traveling with the football team to Bowl games, covering upsets in Hockey and Basketball. I had no idea what it took to be a radio/tv personality but I knew I loved sports and wanted to give this a shot.

My freshman year I signed up for everything, I had my own radio show, broadcasted games on 90.3FM and online for various websites. My first broadcast was an ACC women’s soccer matchup between Miami and Boston College. It was a really cold September night and the game was live on ACCSelect. I was petrified to say the lease but I knew I wanted to make a good impression. Well that didn’t go so well, I said about 2-3 things throughout the entire soccer broadcast. I left there thinking, “Oh No”… but I had a shot a redemption. Boston College men’s hockey was raising the banner of the 2008 national championship versus Wisconsin. I did color for the game and definitely felt a lot better about this one when it was over. From that moment on I wanted to learn and I wanted to be the best, I engineered countless games, broadcasted all the games no one wanted, and moved my way on up to Asst. Sports Director. Throughout my time as a broadcaster, I always found the women’s game more fundamental, and fun to call. From soccer to hockey, the game seemed to slow down and be more about the team than the individual. I enjoyed calling these games and wondered what I would do after graduation.

In 2012 I graduated from BC, and sought a path in the broadcasting world. Unfortunately, that same year I was going through a series of medical complications following a ruptured appendix. I decided to stay close to home and worked for a non-profit in the city of Boston. Meanwhile my dream was always to work for ESPN mainly ESPNW once it launched. In 2013 I took a job as a production assistant at ESPN inc Bristol, CT. I learned a lot about the production industry at ESPN, it was an amazing 2 years of learning a different part of broadcasting that I never imagined. However, I always wanted to broadcast and although I knew the position I accepted would never lead me to broadcasting I accepted anyway. I started to miss everything I use to do, covering women’s sports, broadcasting for BC Women’s basketball, I missed a huge part of me, so I had to go back.

In January of 2015, I chose to become a freelance broadcaster and started working on this site, I love sports, its always been a huge part of my growth. I’ve played tennis, baseball, basketball, hockey, football, and tried plenty others. I knew I would never make it pro but ive always loved the game, and for the most part, women in professional sports aren’t playing for the money or fame, but simply for love of the game!

I did this for love of the game!
