CWHL All-Star Weekend: Team White Defeats Team Blue 9-5

TORONTO, ONT. - More than 8,000 fans filled the Air Canada Centre in Toronto to watch the 2017 Canadian Women's Hockey League All-Star Game. The fans witnessed a scoring fest as Team Campbell dismissed Team Spooner-Mikkelson by a score of 9-5.
The game showcased the amazing talent in the CWHL, Team Campbell took the contest behind a hat trick by Jill Saulnier and Jess Jones who combined for six of the nine goals scored. Marie-Philip Poulin added four points of her own with one goal and three helpers in the game.
Team White held a 3-0 lead after the first 20 minutes of play with Jones scoring two of the three goals in the period. Team Blue made a bit of a comeback in the second period outscoring Team White 2-1 but still trailing after 40 minutes, 4-2. Team White scored five goals in the third period to pull away from Team Blue and earn the victory.
"Back when we were growing up, we didn't have the opportunity to see events like the CWHL All Star Game, so for the fans in attendance, especially the little girls, its just so special" said Carlee Campbell after her teams victory.
The CWHL Regular season comes to an end this weekend with the playoffs pretty much set. The Clarkson Cup playoffs will begin the following week and the Final will be on Sunday, March 5th at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa.
